Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Udiko language learning apps and services. Please read them carefully before using the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Udiko mobile application (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Your continued use constitutes acceptance of these Terms and later modifications. You must be at least 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have consent from a parent or guardian.

2. Description of Service

Udiko is a language learning application that provides interactive lessons, exercises, and educational content.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. User Accounts and Registration

Certain features require an account with accurate, complete, and current information, including a valid email address and secure password.

You are responsible for

  • Keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • Activities that occur under your account.
  • Notifying us promptly about unauthorized account use.
  • Keeping your account information accurate and current.

You agree not to

  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent these Terms or abuse promotions.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

Udiko may offer premium subscriptions. Current plans and prices are displayed in the App and are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4.1 Plans and free trials

  • Prices appear in the local currency determined by your app-store region.
  • Eligible new users may receive a time-limited free trial.
  • A trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
  • Your payment method may be authorized when the trial begins.

4.2 Renewal and billing

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • Charges are made through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
  • Udiko does not process payments directly or receive your full payment information.
  • Billing and payment issues must be resolved with Apple or Google.

4.3 Cancellation, pricing, and refunds

  • Cancel through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • After cancellation, premium access continues until the current billing period ends.
  • Prices may change subject to Apple and Google policies and required notices.
  • Refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple or Google under their policies.
  • Failed payments may suspend or terminate premium access.

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
  • Do not abuse free trials, promotions, or account systems.
  • Do not hack, exploit, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Do not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App.
  • Do not violate applicable laws or transmit harmful content.
  • Do not interfere with the App’s proper operation.
  • In community features, do not harass others, infringe intellectual property, post spam, or use inappropriate profile information.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Our rights

  • Udiko’s design, features, content, functionality, trademarks, logos, and learning materials are owned by Udiko and protected by intellectual-property laws.

Your rights

  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • You may not redistribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content.

7. Privacy and Data Collection

Our Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Udiko uses services including Firebase for backend, analytics, and crash reporting, and RevenueCat for subscription management.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance.
  • Some features may not be available in every location.
  • We may modify, update, or discontinue features.
  • Updates may be automatic and may require a compatible operating system.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
  • We disclaim warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not guarantee fluency, proficiency, educational-content accuracy, or a specific learning outcome.
  • To the extent permitted by law, Udiko is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or learning progress.

10. Termination

  • You may cancel subscriptions through your app-store account.
  • You may delete your account through the App.
  • We will delete personal data within a reasonable period except where retention is legally required.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • We may discontinue the service at any time.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of your applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Where permitted by law, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration, and class-action or class-wide arbitration rights may be waived.

12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies.

13. App Store Compliance

Udiko is distributed subject to Apple App Store and Google Play policies. In-app purchases are subject to the terms of the applicable store.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms. Material changes may be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
